Iowa House Hotel

The Iowa House Hotel is in the Iowa Memorial Union located in the heart of the University of Iowa's campus. It is within a short walking distance of the Pappajohn Business Building where the lectures will take place. A large block of rooms has been reserved for ECOAS for the nights of October, 2 and 3, at the daily rate of $90 + tax. This includes parking, continental breakfast, and high speed internet. We will make the hotel arrangements for you, so please indicate in the registration form the exact dates of your arrival/departure. In order to secure a room please register no later than August 31. Graduate students are encouraged to share rooms.

There are few other hotels available, either in campus Sheraton Iowa City Hotel or its proximity Hampton Inn Iowa City.

Transportation

The nearest airport to the University of Iowa is the Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It is approximately a 30 minute drive from the airport to Iowa City. Transportation from the airport to Iowa City is provided by the Airport Shuttle Service, though fares vary depending on time of day. Parking

For those with their own transportation, there are several parking lots and parking structures serving the University of Iowa. A map can be found here. The nearests parking structures are the Iowa City Capitol Street ramp and Iowa Memorial Union ramp, located just one block south and north of the Deparment of Mathematics, respectively.
