I work in the homelands of numerous sovereign Native nations, as detailed in the The University of Iowa Acknowledgement of Land and Sovereignty.
The historical and currently ongoing harms inflicted by the USA on Native communities have significantly benefited this university and its community.
I look forward to a day when we will leverage our abundant financial and social resources to make meaningful reparations on top of this acknowledgement.
