Brief biography: I had postdoctoral positions at both Northeastern University and University of Connecticut after receiving my PhD from University of Michigan in 2009, and completing my undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas. I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, am enrolled as a citizen of ᏣᎳᎩᎯ ᎠᏰᎵ (Cherokee Nation), and attended high school at Classen School of Advanced Studies in the Oklahoma City Public Schools system.
