ANNOUNCEMENTS

FINAL EXAMINATION

To be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 10:00AM-12:00 PM (noon) in room 214 MLH. The final examination is comprehensive (up to the top of p.81 in the class notes before the subsection on `symplectic transformations in terms of differential 2-forms'). It will be done with open books and open notes, but calculators are NOT allowed.

This course is a natural continuation of MATH:5600 (Nonlinear dynamics with numerical methods). Though the course is mostly about the theory of ordinary differential equations (ODEs), we may consider this theory in conjunction with some theoretical and practical aspects of numerical methods for ODEs. If you have a high interest in a specific topic related to ODEs, please let me know.
