Russell Knudson, a senior student majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Iowa, developed a Java applet to allow graphing of a function from within a browser. The graphing program is given below, and we invite you to use it. The program is at the stage of being a practical tool for a number of graphing tasks, and we are making it available on an experimental basis for use by others. There are a few small minimal problems when using the program from Netscape, and sometimes a window must be enlarged in order to read some of what is printed there. Internet Explorer seems to work fine from our experiments. It is expected that the program will be developed further, but not in the immediate future.
